La Gomera is one of Spain's Canary Islands. The island is of volcanic origin and is about 22 km in diameter. It is very mountainous and steeply sloping and rises to 1,487 m at its highest peak. Hikers can explore dramatic cliffs, lush laurel forests and charming villages.
